Congratulations and well done to all those who entered. Here are the winners of the 2001 De Denne Competition. There were a lot of very good entries. Rather than giving 1st and then runners-up prizes, all the Young Embroiderers listed below have been selected as equal winners.

Husqvarna Viking have kindly sponsored the competition so there were more cash prizes and a Juliet sewing machine and sewing kit for the best use of machine embroidery.

The bursary fund was set up in memory of Lynette de Denne, who founded the Young Embroiderers. You can read more about that on our history page. Click on the images to see them in more detail.
