This image shows the top of our school banner
We designed a banner for the school, which was Charles Dickens' house during the last 13 years of his life.
At the top of the banner,
we did a screen print of the school. Then, each girl made a puppet of herself
in uniform. Each girl learnt how to stick flower petals onto silk and thus create
a new flower or a flower head, like Pam Watts does.
For this, you need a lot of patience and care. With this method, you can create beautiful materials to make a purse, a bag or a book cover - or whatever you want. Instead of putting the petals into a circle to make a new flower, you could put them in lines or in a random way to make a pattern.
We used this technique to make the birds in our Biodiversity project.
