The theme for the competition was balls and ball games. It was open for individual and group entries and one hundred and twenty five Members joined in. The youngest of these was just four years old. There were seven group entries in 2006. Everyone not only created some really great embroideries, but they also came up with very witty ideas and titles. Congratulations.
The works arrived in twenty one different parcels - all shapes and sizes. The work had to be lightweight, easy to pack and post and store. Any materials and techniques could be used. The work could be 2 or 3 dimensional and all entries had to be ready to display. Everyone succeeded in achieving these requirements. Thank you everyone and well done.
The work featured on this page was displayed in Torquay at the Embroiderers' Guild AGM.
