Hello to everyone we met at the D & T Show in November 1998. If you missed it, you can catch up here with what was happening.
The Embroiderers' Guild stand had information about the resources available from Young Embroiderers and details of INSET days in 1999. Lots of people enjoyed seeing some of the sketchbooks entered for the 1998 De Denne Bursary award, and a show of textiles made by members of Young Embroiderers in Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Lichfield and Avoncroft.
Project booklets produced by Young Embroiderers were on sale, along with books from the Guild bookshop, and The World of Embroidery magazine. We ran a workshop on using historical textile fragments to inspire design, and the website was on the stand for visitors to browse.
