Pebble/Bubble Prints

These prints are easily made by blowing a straw into a container which has washing-up liquid, water and a small amount of fabric transfer paint in it.

Let the bubbles rise above the container level and cover with a sheet of typing paper. Allow to dry and iron off onto synthetic fabric - we used a satin.

The prints look like pebbles or rocks at the seaside.

The children then stitched them, creating textured areas using French knots and running stitches - and keeping to a simple colour scheme.
