Tree Bark

We painted Bondaweb with fabric paints and let it dry (about 15 minutes or quicker with a hair dryer).

We then ironed it onto some calico or muslin, through greaseproof paper to protect the iron.

This created a lovely broken texture very like tree bark or in some cases old stone walls.

Some people 'over-printed' this with a second piece of painted Bondaweb. This created more texture.

We then dabbed on some Xpandaprint to create more texture. You must read the instructions on how to use this material!! We coloured/painted the Xpandaprint and then quilted and stitched the piece.
