Question: I am researching into the effects of environmental legislation and concerns on the UK fashion print industry.

• Do you have any information about technical changes in production, testing or any organisations which deal with related issues?
• Are there any designers or craftspeople in the textile print field who have been affected in their work by their concern for the environment?
• Is the consumer market concerned about the environment in their choice of textiles?

• Education for Sustainability

Education for Sustainability provide a Textiles Online site devoted to clothing for a sustainable future.

There are some makers and manufacturers taking environmental issues into account - you would need to find out from them how far that is consumer led, or the result of legislation or their own ideology. A few web sites that you might find interesting:
